Kick off your visit on the 9th (Thu): stroll through Hidden Oaks Nature Center, explore the world behind art at National Gallery of Art, and then get a new perspective on nature at Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. On your second day here, see the interesting displays at National Air and Space Museum, contemplate the waterfront views at Tidal Basin, and then grab your bike and head to Mount Vernon Trail.

The city of Niagara Falls houses the U.S. half of the famous waterfall that straddles the border between Canada and the United States.
Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center and Pierce-Arrow Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Take a break from the city and head to Cave of the Winds and Niagara Falls.
