Goreme, Cappadocia

Famed for its landscape of unusually shaped stone formations and churches cut into the natural rocks, Goreme sits in the central part of the country, an area originally settled during Roman times.
Goreme is known for nature, museums, and historic sites. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: appreciate the extensive heritage of Güvercinlik Vadisi (Pigeon Valley), trot along with a tour on horseback, see Off-Road Tours, and soar above the sights with a balloon tour.

Ankara to Goreme is an approximately 4.5-hour bus ride. You can also drive. While traveling from Ankara, expect a bit warmer days and slightly colder nights in Goreme, ranging from highs of 32°C to lows of 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Wed) so you can fly to Antalya.

Offering both sandy beaches packed with modern amenities and a historical town center filled with Roman ruins and Ottoman mosques, Antalya serves as one of the country's major tourist destinations.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Termessos Ruins and Aspendos Ruins and Theater. Change things up with these side-trips from Antalya: Kemer (Moon Light Parki & Olbia Park), Side (Ancient Theater, Temple of Apollo, &more) and Alanya (Alanya LimanI & Kleopatra Beach). You can fly from Goreme to Antalya in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Prepare for a bit warmer weather when traveling from Goreme in June: high temperatures in Antalya hover around 36°C and lows are around 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Oludeniz.

Oludeniz

Famous for its big lagoon, Oludeniz acts like a magnet for mass tourism, featuring some of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Tlos and Old Town. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Oludeniz: Patara Plajı (in Patara), Saklikent Milli Parki (in Fethiye) and Kaputas Beach (in Kas). Next up on the itinerary: take in the waterfront at Fethiye Port, get the adrenaline pumping with an extreme tour, pause for some photo ops at Tayyareci Fethi Bey Aniti, and explore the historical opulence of Fethiye Kalesi.

Getting from Antalya to Oludeniz by combination of bus and taxi takes about 3 hours. Other options: drive. In June in Oludeniz, expect temperatures between 35°C during the day and 20°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Dalyan.

Dalyan

Although it once seemed destined to become a stereotypical coastal resort, Dalyan remains unspoiled by commercial tourism because of its location within an environmentally protected area.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Kaunos and Lycian Rock Tombs. Venture out of the city with trips to Icmeler (Zeus jewellers & Icmeler Beach), Marmaris Marina (in Marmaris) and Boat Tours & Water Sports (in Gocek). There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Dalyan Nehri and enjoy the sand and surf at Iztuzu Beach 2.

Traveling by car from Oludeniz to Dalyan takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus. In June, plan for daily highs up to 35°C, and evening lows to 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Sun) early enough to fly back home.
