Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Get some historical perspective at Nezu Shrine and Mitsumine Shrine. Get some cultural insight at Hokokuji Temple (Takedera Temple) and KidZania Tokyo. Get out of town with these interesting Tokyo side-trips: Kamakura (Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Meigetsuin (Hydrangea Temple), & more) and Pola Museum of Art (in Hakone-machi). There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Asakusa Shrine, contemplate the long history of Hie Jinjya, take a stroll through Ueno, and examine the collection at Fire Museum.
