For a daily dose of excitement, medieval jousting tournaments are held twice per day between the two walls--while this may sound like a typical touristy show, it's actually an entertaining display of combative competition and horsemanship.
On the 25th (Fri), examine the collection at Le Musee de la Torture de Carcassone and then wander the streets of Cité de Carcassonne. On the 26th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of La cité médiévale, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Eglise Saint-Nazaire, then get engrossed in the history at School Museum, and finally explore the world behind art at La Cooperative-Collection Ceres Franco.
