As one of Spain’s most well-preserved medieval cities, Segovia is known for its 1st-century Roman aqueduct that runs through the city center.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Monasterio de Santa Maria de La Vid and Alcazar de Segovia. Do some cultural sightseeing at Castillo de Gormaz and Bodegas Legaris. Get out of town with these interesting Segovia side-trips: Aranda de Duero (Iglesia de Santa Maria, Don Carlos Bodega Historica, & more), Bodegas El Lagar de Isilla (in La Vid) and Carcel de la Villa (in Pedraza). The adventure continues: enjoy the sand and surf at Playa del Alberche, see the interesting displays at Catedral de Segovia, appreciate the extensive heritage of Calle Real de Segovia, and pause for some serene contemplation at Parish of St. Peter the Apostle.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major airport is Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport. In September, daily temperatures in Segovia can reach 29°C, while at night they dip to 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
