As the busy capital of São Miguel, Ponta Delgada represents the most visited place on the island. Known for its historical buildings, the city offers 17th- and 18th-century convents and churches, as well as cobbled pedestrian streets and hidden squares.
On the 6th (Sat), see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: witness a stunning natural landmark at Caldeira das Furnas, take in the dramatic natural features at Poca Da Dona Beija, then pause for some serene contemplation at Igreja de Sao Miguel Arcanjo, and finally take in the dramatic natural features at Caldeira das Sete Cidades.

Guadalajara, Mexico to Ponta Delgada is an approximately 20.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time to Azores Time, which is usually a 5 hour difference.
