City of Angels

The birthplace of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, the medieval town of Torun escaped the destruction of World War II, managing to preserve most of the Gothic architecture of its historical old town.
Appreciate the collections at Żywe Muzeum Piernika and Centre of Contemporary Art. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Mill's Island (Wyspa Mlynska) and Krzywa Wieza. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Torun: Cathedral of St. Martin's and St. Nicholas (in Bydgoszcz) and Lake Chelmzynskie Beach (in Chelmza). Grudziądz is a city of around 96,042 inhabitants on the Vistula River in northern Poland.
