The tourist town of Sauraha stands on the edge of the Chitwan National Park and acts as the eastern gateway to a World Heritage-protected area.
Start off your visit on the 13th (Tue): get engrossed in the history at Tharu Cultural Museum and Research Cente and then explore the striking landscape of Chitwan National Park. On the next day, explore the activities along Narayani River, then take in the exciting artwork at Sauraha Art Gallery, and then get a new perspective on nature at Tharu Cultural Museum and Research Center.

Kathmandu to Sauraha is an approximately 2.5-hour combination of car and flight. You can also take a bus; or drive. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Kathmandu in October: high temperatures in Sauraha hover around 37°C and lows are around 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Wed) so you can travel to Pokhara.

Pokhara, the second largest city in the country, attracts visitors with its superlative natural wonders and easygoing atmosphere.

Traveling from Pokhara in October, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit cooler in Kathmandu, with lows of 17°C. Dominated by the world's tallest, Sagarmatha National Park is renowned for its carefully preserved natural heritage as well as the cultural and religious importance of its Buddhist monasteries and traditional Sherpa settlements.
Step out of the city life by going to Mt Everest and Gokyo Lakes. Visit Memorial to Scott Fischer and Khumjung Gompa for their historical value. The adventure continues: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Taboche and explore the activities along Dudh Koshi River.
