Berlin, Germany to Hatsukaichi is an approximately 19-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly; or do a combination of flight and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time (CET) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is 8 hours. Expect a daytime high around 22°C in April, and nighttime lows around 13°C. The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Dotonbori and Four-M. Popular historic sites such as Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Sanjusangendo Temple are in your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kyoto: Nara (Todai-ji Temple, Nigatsu-do Temple, &more), Minami (Namba) (in Namba) and Jindoji Temple (in Kizugawa). There's lots more to do: take a stroll through Gion, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ginkakuji Temple, contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Kyoto Isshu Trail, Higahiyama Fuahimi Inari Course.

Getting from Hatsukaichi to Kyoto by train takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In April, daily temperatures in Kyoto can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 11°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Thu) so you can go by car to Koya-cho.

A resort town located in the foothills of Mount Fuji, Fujikawaguchiko-machi acts as a base for many who plan to take one of the trails up the iconic volcano.
Get outdoors at Mount Fuji and Fugaku Wind Cave. Change things up with these side-trips from Fujikawaguchiko-machi: Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine (in Fujinomiya) and Gotemba (Gotemba Kogen Toki no Sumika & Gotemba Premium Outlets). There's still lots to do: stroll through Lake Kawaguchi, admire the masterpieces at Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and make a trip to Motosuko Lake.

Traveling from Koya-cho in April, expect nights in Fujikawaguchiko-machi to be about the same, around 13°C, while days are a bit cooler, around 15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Wed) to allow time to drive to Tokyo.

And it doesn't end there: take a stroll through Odaiba, admire the striking features of Tokyo Tower, contemplate the waterfront views at Meguro River, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Senso-ji Temple.

You can drive from Fujikawaguchiko-machi to Tokyo in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. While traveling from Fujikawaguchiko-machi, expect somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Tokyo, ranging from highs of 22°C to lows of 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 27th (Mon) to allow time for travel back home.
