Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Explore hidden gems such as Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 and Samurai Museum. Escape the urban bustle at Mt. Takao and Pola Museum of Art. Go for a jaunt from Tokyo to Kamogawa to see Kamogawa Sea World about 1h 45 min away. Have a day of magic on the 9th (Wed) at Tokyo Disneyland. The adventure continues: wander the streets of Ueno District, learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Ueno Zoo, make a trip to Tokyo Tower, and shop like a local with Ginza.

Plan my trip to Tokyo with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

Singapore, Singapore to Tokyo is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Singapore to Tokyo. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Singapore in October; daily highs in Tokyo reach 26°C and lows reach 18°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Takayama.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.

Step out of Kyoto to go to Takashima and see Kaizu Osaki, which is approximately 1h 35 min away. There's lots more to do: stop by Pontocho District, look for all kinds of wild species at Yase Momiji no Komichi, hike along Mt. Takao, and explore the activities along Lake Biwa.

Proud of their hometown's distinct culture and dialect, many natives of Osaka describe their city as "Japan's anti-capital." An antidote to Tokyo's hectic energy, Osaka marches to the beat of its own drum, serving as the country's longtime commercial and industrial hub.
Get in touch with nature at Mt. Koya and Nara Park. Do your shopping at Dotombori District and Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Osaka: Arima Onsen (in Kobe), Todai-ji Temple (in Nara) and Koya-cho (Koyasan Danjo Garan & Kongobu-ji Temple). There's still lots to do: find something for the whole family at Universal Studios Japan.

Keep things going the next day: admire the verdant scenery at Kikuchi Gorge, indulge in Japan's hot spring tradition at some of the top local onsens, and then identify plant and animal life at Ogi Rice Terraces.
