A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Sun): get engrossed in the history at Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura) and then take in panoramic vistas at Sapporo TV Tower. Here are some ideas for day two: get a sense of history and politics at Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, then get great views at Mt. Moiwa, and then hit the slopes at Mt. Okura Observatory.

Singapore, Singapore to Sapporo is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference when traveling from Singapore to Sapporo is 1 hour. Traveling from Singapore in August, expect Sapporo to be a bit cooler, temps between 27°C and 25°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Tue) so you can take a train to Otaru.
