Manila, Philippines to Hiroshima is an approximately 8-hour combination of bus, flight, and train. You can also do a combination of bus, flight, taxi, and train; or do a combination of bus, flight, and ferry. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Manila to Hiroshima. Plan for slightly colder temperatures traveling from Manila in June, with highs in Hiroshima at 30°C and lows at 23°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Tue) to allow enough time to take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Get a sense of the local culture at Nara Park and Nijo-jo Castle. Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Kinkaku-ji will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Nara (Todaiji Temple Cultural Center & Todai-ji Temple) and Osaka (Osaka Castle, Dotonbori, & more). There's much more to do: wander the streets of Gion, don't miss a visit to Mimizuka, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ryoanji Temple, and take in the pleasant sights at Arashiyama.

Getting from Hiroshima to Kyoto by train takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of ferry, flight, and train. Expect a daytime high around 37°C in July, and nighttime lows around 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Tue) so you can take a train to Gifu.
