Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Rome is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. In July, Rome is a bit warmer than Amsterdam - with highs of 37°C and lows of 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a train to Sorrento.

A lovely town easily accessible from almost anywhere in the country, Sorrento overlooks the Bay of Naples and sits right on the Amalfi Drive.
Duomo di Ravello and Wine Tours & Tastings are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Ceramiche d'Arte Carmela and Artigianato Rallo.
