A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Bring the kids along to Okurayama Lookout and Otaru Canal. Get some historical perspective at Sapporo Clock Tower and Hokkaido Jingu. Go for a jaunt from Sapporo to Otaru to see Otaru Denuki Koji about 38 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: get engrossed in the history at Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura), walk around Odori Park, take in panoramic vistas at Sapporo JR Tower Observatory T38, and take some stellar pictures from Sapporo TV Tower.
