Battle is a small town and civil parish in the local government district of Rother in East Sussex, England. Get out of town with these interesting Battle side-trips: Camber Sands (in Camber), Pett Level Beach (in Hastings) and Rye (Spas & Wellness & Rye Harbour Nature Reserve). Pack the 10th (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Knockhatch Adventure Park. There's still lots to do: hit the bull's-eye at 1066 Target Sports, look for all kinds of wild species at East Sussex Falconry, take a stroll through Old Town Hastings, and witness the site of a historic battle at Battle Abbey and Battlefield.

Once a sleepy little fishing village, Brighton is a modern seaside town known for its Asian architecture and a large gay community.
Explore Brighton's surroundings by going to Eastbourne (Eastbourne Pier, Beachy Head, & more), Seven Sisters Country Park (in Seaford) and Drusillas Park (in Berwick). The adventure continues: take in the waterfront at Brighton Pier, admire the striking features of Royal Pavilion, trek along Undercliff Walk, and wander the streets of The Lanes.
