Nicknamed the "Polish Manchester" because of its largely industrial character, Lodz draws a growing number of tourists with its rejuvenated central districts, which offer shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Explore hidden gems such as Radegast Station - Independence Traditions Museum in Lodz and The Collegiate Church of St.Mary and St.Alexius. You'll explore and learn at Central Museum of the Textile Industry and Planetarium EC1. Explore Lodz's surroundings by going to Turek (Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Town of Turek Museum). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Piotrkowska Street, tour the pleasant surroundings at Lagiewniki Park, pause for some serene contemplation at Saint Alexander Newski Cathedral, and admire the landmark architecture of Gutenberg Home.

Poznan to Lodz is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or take a train. April in Lodz sees daily highs of 15°C and lows of 3°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) to allow enough time to take a train to Warsaw.
