The long, thin island of Eleuthera has plenty of coast, built up in places and left wild and rural in others.

You'll get in some beach time at Bahamas Ocean Safaris and French Leave Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at Spanish Wells Museum and Tarpum Bay. In April, daily temperatures in Eleuthera can reach 38°C, while at night they dip to 38°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Fri) so you can travel to Cat Island.

Known for its pristine nature, Cat Island sits quite some distance from the capital, giving the island a feeling of isolation and calm.

The casual Bahamian vibee of Harbour Island comes through in its atmospheric seaside eateries, the colonial English architecture of its main urban zones, and its wealth of attractive coastal areas.
