The capital of Vietnam, Hanoi has bounded back from the effects of war, and today serves as a bustling commercial and cultural hub bursting at the seams.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Fri): see the interesting displays at Hanoi Museum and then snap pictures at Long Bien Bridge. Halong Bay

Halong Bay encompasses a cluster of verdant limestone islets that jut out from the sea and make up an enchanting setting recognized as a World Heritage Site.
Take a break from the city and head to Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Cat Ba National Park. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Sung Sot Cave and Tien Ong Cave. There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Bai Tu Long Bay, take in the spiritual surroundings of Long Tien Pagoda, take in the views from Pont Bai Chay, and add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour.
