Terchová is a large village and municipality in the Malá Fatra mountains in the Žilina District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia.HistoryThe village was established in 1580, but the area was inhabited even before its establishment. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Orava Castle and Museum of Orava Village. Get in touch with nature at Demanovska Cave of Liberty and Stanisovska jaskyna. When in Terchova, make a side trip to see Hurricane Factory Tatralandia in Liptovsky Mikulas, approximately Liptovsky Mikulas away. The adventure continues: hike along Janosikove Diery, identify plant and animal life at Vratna dolina, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of St. Cyril and Methodius.
