Attractions like Australia Zoo and CC's Croc Connections make great kid-friendly stops. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Brisbane: Buderim Lions Park (in Buderim), Mooloolaba Beach (in Mooloolaba) and Big Kart Track (in Landsborough). A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Palm Cove Beach and Cairns Wake park. The adventure continues: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, stroll around Anzac Park, and enjoy the sand and surf at Trinity Beach.

Cape Tribulation

A lush headland that's part of the forested Daintree Region, Cape Tribulation was so named by Lieutenant--later Captain--Cook in 1770, when his ship ran aground in the area.
Attractions like Myall Beach and Cape Tribulation Beach make great kid-friendly stops. Explore Cape Tribulation's surroundings by going to Photography Tours (in Daintree) and Cow Bay (Cow Bay Beach & Daintree Discovery Centre). There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Thornton Beach, take in the pleasant sights at Marrdja Botanical Walk, trek along Dubuji Boardwalk, and take in the dramatic scenery at Alexandra Bay Waterfall.
