Gateway to Southern Laos

Resting at the meeting point of the Se Don and Mekong rivers, Pakse provides the ideal starting point from which to begin your discovery of southern Laos.
Take a break from the city and head to Tad Fane and Bolaven Plateau. Step off the beaten path and head to Si Phan Don and Tad Pha Suam Waterfall. Change things up with these side-trips from Pakse: Champasak Town (Chez Maman, Wat Phu, &more), Tad Champee (in Paksong) and Salavan (Khaen Garden & Salavan Monument). There's still lots to do: admire the sheer force of Tad Yuang Waterfalls, take in the spiritual surroundings of Wat Pha Bat, take in the views from Lao Nippon Bridge, and don't miss a visit to Wat Luang Temple.
