Nanjo

With a long Pacific coastline, Nanjo offers fantastic views of the ocean from high cliffs covered with lush greenery, as well as from its long sandy beaches.
Head to Ojima Imaiyu Market and Agarihama Marketfor some retail therapy. Visit Okinawa Peace Memorial Park and Sangui for their historical value. Take a break from Nanjo with a short trip to The Tower of Himeyuri in Itoman, about 30 minutes away. There's lots more to do: explore the historical opulence of The Itokazu castle ruin, get some thrills out on the water with Chinen Marine Leisure Center, contemplate the long history of Tamagusuku Castle Ruin, and test the waters at Apeman Spa.

You can drive from Yomitan-son to Nanjo in an hour. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Yomitan-son in November, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in Nanjo, with lows of 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sat) early enough to drive to Naha.
