With coastline on the west, south, and east, Newport is a maritime city with a rich history.
Attractions like Cliff Walk and Pleasure Beach make great kid-friendly stops. You'll get in some beach time at Sachuest Beach (Second Beach) and Goosewing Beach Preserve. "The Capital of the Cape," Hyannis serves as Cape Cod's main transportation and commercial hub.
Attractions like Nauset Beach and Gray's Beach make great kid-friendly stops. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Craigville Beach and Corporation Beach. A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
Attractions like Race Point Beach and Cape Cod National Seashore make great kid-friendly stops. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Herring Cove Beach and Coast Guard Beach. When in Provincetown, make a side trip to see Nauset Light Beach in Eastham, approximately Eastham away. Ogunquit

Ogunquit means "beautiful place by the sea" in the language of the Native Americans who inhabited the region long ago, and this remains an accurate description of this holiday destination today.
Kids will enjoy Marginal Way Walkway and Perkins Cove. Visit Ogunquit Beach and Wells Beach for some beach relaxation. Take a break from Ogunquit with a short trip to Old Orchard Beach in Old Orchard Beach, about 38 minutes away. There's much more to do: take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, kick back and relax at Long Sands Beach, admire all the interesting features of Ocean Ave, and stroll through Short Sands Beach.

Drive from Bar Harbor to Ogunquit in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of bus, train, and taxi. Traveling from Bar Harbor in June, you will find days in Ogunquit are somewhat warmer (75°F), and nights are about the same (52°F). Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive back home.
