Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.

Take a break from the city and head to Atlantis Qualidive and Untersberg. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Fortress Hohensalzburg Castle and Salzburg Cathedral. Step out of Salzburg to go to Attnang-Puchheim and see Puchheimer Au, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. Historically known for the production of salt, Halstatt's fine architecture reflects the small village's salt mining legacy.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Hallstatt-Dachstein - Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape and Hallstatt Lutheran Church. Get some historical perspective at Parish of the Assumption and Beinhaus, Karner, Ossuary.
