Vibrant and noisy, London is one of the world’s leading cities, an international capital of culture, education, fashion, music, finance, trade, and politics.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Greenwich and Arundel Castle and Gardens. Visit Tower of London and Westminster Abbey for their historical value. Venture out of the city with trips to Oxford (Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology & Pitt Rivers Museum), Brighton (Brighton Beach, The Lanes, & more) and Camber Sands (in Camber). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Ely Cathedral, brush up on your military savvy at IWM Duxford, take in the history at Battle Abbey and Battlefield, and get to know the resident critters at Hawk Conservancy Trust.

Before you visit London, use our trip planner to discover what you can do and see there.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are London Heathrow Airport, London Gatwick Airport, London Stansted Airport, London City Airport, London Luton Airport and Southend Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 62°F, and evening lows to 46°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
