Kick off your visit on the 6th (Wed): admire the masterpieces at 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, take a stroll through Higashichaya Old Town, then see the interesting displays at Ishikawa Prefectural Museum for Traditional Products and Crafts, then explore the historical opulence of Kanazawa Castle, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at Kenrokuen Garden. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Motobu-cho: Iejima Beach Side Horse Park (in Ie-son), Onna-son (Stand-Up Paddleboarding & Scuba & Snorkeling) and Kouri Ohashi (in Nakijin-son). You can fly from Hiroshima to Motobu-cho in 7 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. Traveling from Hiroshima in January, expect Motobu-cho to be somewhat warmer, temps between 22°C and 13°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Sat) early enough to travel to Ishigaki.
