Okinawa is the second-largest city in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, following Naha, the capital city. Kick off your visit on the 24th (Thu): discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour and then get outside with Manza Beach. Keep things going the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Nirai Beach and then make a trip to Yachimun Street.

Step off the beaten path and head to Rinsen-ji Temple and Happo Pond. Step out of the city life by going to Tsugaike Natural Park and Jogehama Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Shinano-machi side-trips: Joetsu Takada Castle triple turret (in Joetsu), Onsen Resorts (in Naganohara-machi) and Yugama (in Kusatsu-machi).
