In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Duomo di Milano and Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore. Visit Castello Sforzesco and Basilica San Lorenzo Maggiore for their historical value. Go for a jaunt from Milan to Alba to see Langhe landscapes UNESCO about 1h 45 min away. And it doesn't end there: admire the landmark architecture of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, get engrossed in the history at Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Il Cenacolo, and get to know the fascinating history of Piazza del Duomo.

A lovely town easily accessible from almost anywhere in the country, Sorrento overlooks the Bay of Naples and sits right on the Amalfi Drive.
Head to Absolute Positano and Gallery Raffaele Celentanofor some retail therapy. Get some cultural insight at Pompeii Archaeological Park and St Francis Church and Convent. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Sorrento: Duomo di Sant'Andrea (in Amalfi) and Fornillo (in Positano). There's lots more to do: cast your line with a fishing tour, don't miss a visit to Piazza Tasso, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Il Vallone dei Mulini.
