The allure of the multi-cultural capital, Brussels, stems from its mix of political intrigue, artistic influence, historical significance, and a thriving social scene.
You'll explore and learn at Atomium and Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique. Grand Place and Gravensteen will appeal to history buffs. If you are flying in from The Netherlands, the closest major aiports are Brussels Airport, Antwerp International Airport (Deurne), Brussels South Charleroi Airport and Liège Airport. March in Brussels sees daily highs of 10°C and lows of 1°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) early enough to drive to Eindhoven.

The capital of Dutch industrial design, Eindhoven is known as the "City of Light." This is thanks to the technology company, Phillips, which has its base here and hosts many light projects in buildings around the city.
Kroller-Muller Museum and Philips Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Get some historical perspective at St. Catharinakerk and Koppelpoort. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Eindhoven: Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen (in Oisterwijk), Kampina (in Boxtel) and Regte Heide & Riels Laag (in Riel). The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Kootwijkerzand, examine the collection at DAF Museum, sample the fine beverages at Bottle Distillery, and hike along Strabrechtse Heide.

You can drive from Brussels to Eindhoven in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 12°C in March, and nighttime lows around 1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 15th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel to Gelsenkirchen.

Montbéliard is a city in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France, about 13km from the border with Switzerland. On the 19th (Fri), take in the spiritual surroundings of Chapelle de la Croix du Burn, see the interesting displays at Cité du Train - Musée français du chemin de fer, and then examine the collection at Cite de l'Automobile. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the landmark architecture of Chapelle Notre-Dame du Haut, make a trip to Eglise Notre-Dame-du-Bas de Ronchamp, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedrale Saint-Christophe de Belfort.
