Rivne is a historic city in western Ukraine and the historical region of Volhynia. Get out of town with these interesting Rivne side-trips: Dubno (Dubno Castle & Tarakanovskiy fort), Ostroh Academy (in Ostroh) and Cultural and Archaeological Center Peresopnitsa (in Peresopnitsa). There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Tunnel of Love, pause for some serene contemplation at Assumption (wooden) Church, take in the spiritual surroundings of Spring of Saint Anna, and appreciate the history behind Monument to T.G. Shevchenko.

Pripyat is a ghost town in northern Ukraine, near the border with Belarus.Named after the nearby Pripyat River, Pripyat was founded on 4 February 1970, as the ninth nuclear city (a type of closed city) in the Soviet Union, to serve the nearby Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Start off your visit on the 24th (Thu): mingle with the ghosts of the past at Chernobyl Go and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Elijah Church. On the 25th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: find something for the whole family at Pripyat Amusement Park, make a trip to Reactor No 4, and then expand your understanding of the military at Duga Radar Russian Woodpecker.
