Split into two parts by the Kinokawa River, the city of Wakayama stands nestled in the eponymous plain, overlooked by a historic hilltop castle that was rebuilt after World War II.
Isonoura Beach has been added to your itinerary. On the 20th (Fri), step into the grandiose world of Wakayama Castle, tour the pleasant surroundings at Isonoura Beach, then hunt for treasures at Kuroshio Market, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Kimiidera Temple. Keep things going the next day: find something for the whole family at Porto Europe, revel in the low prices at Rinku Premium Outlets, and then look for gifts at Kanku Observation Hall Sky View.

If you are flying in from Netherlands, the closest major airports are Kansai International Airport, Osaka International Airport and Takamatsu Airport. In September in Wakayama, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 25°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sat) so you can travel back home.
