The capital of one of the region's ancient kingdoms, Ujjain lost some of its political and cultural importance during the years of the Raj.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Harsiddhi Temple, thencontemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, and then pause for some photo ops at Vikramaditya The Great Memorial Statue.
