Tynemouth is a town and a historic borough in Tyne and Wear, England at the mouth of the River Tyne. On the 19th (Mon), visit a coastal fixture at Souter Lighthouse and The Leas, then don't miss a visit to World War One Soldier Sculpture, then kick back and relax at Long Sands Beach, and finally explore the ancient world of Tynemouth Priory & Castle. On your second day here, examine the collection at National Glass Centre, enjoy the sand and surf at Roker & Seaburn Beaches, and then explore the historical opulence of Warkworth Castle & Hermitage.

For other places to visit, where to stay, traveler tips, and more tourist information, refer to the Tynemouth road trip site .

In August in Tynemouth, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 12°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
