One of the oldest and largest cities in the center of the state, Thrissur hosts a wealth of festivals throughout the year.
Start off your visit on the 29th (Wed): admire the landmark architecture of Guruvayur Temple, then identify plant and animal life at Elephant Camp Sanctuary, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Punnathur Kotta (Anakkotta), and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Vadakkunnathan Temple. On the 30th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the spiritual surroundings of Peruvanam Mahadeva Temple, then see the interesting displays at Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Museum, then explore the engaging exhibits at Thrissur Zoo & Museum, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Paramekavu Bhagavathy Temple.
