Kick off your visit on the 10th (Fri): soak in some Japanese tradition at some of the top local onsens, admire the natural beauty at Suizenji Jojuen Garden, then make a trip to Kumamon Square, then explore the world behind art at Contemporary Art Museum, Kumamoto, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Kumamotojoinari Shrine. On the 11th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of Yakumo Koizumi Old House in Kumamoto, explore the wide array of goods at Tsuruya Department Store, take in the pleasant sights at Kumamoto Castle, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kato Shrine, then appreciate the history behind Kato Kiyomasa Statue, and finally take an in-depth tour of Sakuranobaba Johsaien.
