Izu sits in the center of the mountainous Izu Peninsula.Start off your visit on the 16th (Sun): contemplate the long history of Toi Kinzan, take in panoramic vistas at Atami Castle, thenkick back and relax at Atami Sun Beach, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Kinomiya Shrine. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Shuzen-ji Temple, thenhike along Jogasaki Coast, thensee the interesting displays at Izu Teddy Bear Museum, and finally take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Omuro.
