Start off your visit on the 17th (Sat): take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Margaret's Chapel & Magdalene Almshouses, steep yourself in history at Lytes Cary Manor (National Trust), take in the spiritual surroundings of Muchelney Abbey, then examine the collection at Gold Hill Museum, and finally step into the grandiose world of Old Wardour Castle. Here are some ideas for day two: take an in-depth tour of Radstock Museum, then identify plant and animal life at Ham Wall Nature Reserve, and then steep yourself in history at Coleridge Cottage.
