Little more than a small town at the turn of the 20th century, Dushanbe grew rapidly during the Soviet era and now serves as the national capital and home to nearly 800,000 people.
On the 4th (Mon), contemplate the long history of Hisor Fortress, take an in-depth tour of National Museum of Tajikistan, and then don't miss a visit to Statue of Ismoil Somoni. On the 5th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Stele with the Emblem of Tajikistan, walk around Rudaki Park, then view the masterpieces at NOOR ART GALLERY, then don't miss a visit to Ismaili Centre, and finally don't miss a visit to Flagpole with the Flag of Tajikistan.
