One of the largest and oldest cities in Central Asia, Tashkent combines layers of history and a bustling modern edge.
On the 6th (Fri), see the interesting displays at Railway Museum, then take an in-depth tour of State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, then don't miss a visit to Barak-Khan Madrassah, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Teleshayakh Mosque. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 7th (Sat): stroll through Alisher Navoi National Park, wander the streets of Old Tashkent, then stop by Mirabadskiy (Gospitalny) Market, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at Japanese Garden.

Get out of town with these interesting Samarkand side-trips: Shakhrisabz (Palace Ak-Saray & Dorut Tilovat).
