Inhabited for millennia, the city of Bukhara boasts a World Heritage-listed center teeming with historic mosques, madrassas, pools, and ancient ruins.
Appreciate the collections at Palace of Moon-like Stars (Sitorai-Mokhi-Khosa) and History of Bukhara Puppet Theatre. Popular historic sites such as Great Minaret of the Kalon and Mir-i Arab Madrasah are in your itinerary. Change things up with a short trip to Gijduvan ceramics of The Narzullaevs in Gijduvan (about 48 minutes away). There's lots more to do: admire the striking features of Samanid Mausoleum, delve into the distant past at Chor-Bakr necropolis, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Poi Kalyan Mosque, and make a trip to Chor-Minor.
