Shanghai, China to Bangkok is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive. The time zone changes from China Standard Time (CST) to Indochina Time (ICT), which is usually a -1 hour difference. Plan for much warmer temperatures traveling from Shanghai in January, with highs in Bangkok at 36°C and lows at 26°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Thu) to allow time to travel to Patong.
