Visit Mountaineers' Cemetery and Kapelle Winkelmatten "Zur Heiligen Familie" for their historical value. Take a break from the city and head to The Matterhorn and Golf Club Matterhorn. Step out of Zermatt to go to Bettmeralp and see Aletsch Arena, which is approximately 1h 05 min away. And it doesn't end there: hike along 5-Seenweg, see the interesting displays at Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis, don't miss a visit to Kapelle Riffelberg "Bruder Klaus", and take in the spiritual surroundings of Kapelle Schwarzsee "Maria zum Schnee".

Sion is the capital of the Swiss canton of Valais and of the district of Sion. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Fondation Pierre Gianadda and Bisse Saviese Torrent-Neuf. Visit Valere Basilica and Burgkirche Raron for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Sion side-trips: Mont-Fort (in Verbier), Spas (in Leukerbad) and Felsenkirche Eglise St.Michael (in Raron).
