The city of Suwon lies close to the country's capital, and brings in visitors on day trips, mainly to see its old city walls.
On the 28th (Tue), get to know the fascinating history of Dongbukgongsimdon. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 29th (Wed): get in on the family fun at Korean Folk Village and then contemplate the long history of Hwahongmun Gate.

Hong Kong, China to Suwon is an approximately 13-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. The time zone difference moving from Hong Kong Standard Time to Korean Standard Time is 1 hour. Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Hong Kong in April: highs in Suwon hover around 21°C, while lows dip to 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Thu) early enough to drive to Seoul.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
On the 1st (Fri), admire the landmark architecture of Changdeokgung Palace, thenwander the streets of Insadong, and then get to know the fascinating history of Cheonggyecheon Stream. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 2nd (Sat): get great views at N Seoul Tower, take a stroll through Bukchon Hanok Village, thentake an in-depth tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace, and finally get your game on at INT Studio.

You can drive from Suwon to Seoul in an hour. Other options are to take a train; or take a subway. In April, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 3rd (Sun) to allow time for the car ride to Andong.

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Take a break from the city and head to Juwangsan National Park and Jusanji Pond. Get a sense of the local culture at Andong Hahoe Folk Village and Andong Gunja Village (Historic Site of Ocheon). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Hahoe Mask Museum, steep yourself in history at Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy, and wander the streets of Andong Folk Village.

You can drive from Seoul to Andong in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. When traveling from Seoul in May, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Andong: temperatures range from 18°C by day to 18°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Daegu.

The fourth-largest city in South Korea, Daegu sprawls out across a wide, flat valley overlooked by a sacred Buddhist mountain.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Thu): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Donghwasa, admire the natural beauty at Daegu Arboretum, and then explore the activities along Suseongmot Lake. Here are some ideas for day two: stroll around Gukchaebosang Memorial Park, thenhunt for treasures at Seomun Market, thensteep yourself in history at Bullodong Ancient Tomb Park, and finally admire the verdant scenery at Sutaegol.

Traveling by car from Andong to Daegu takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Andong in May, expect nights in Daegu to be about the same, around 17°C, while days are much hotter, around 32°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 9th (Sat), take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple, thenpause for some photo ops at Seokguram, and then explore the activities along Bomun Lake. On the 10th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, thencontemplate the long history of Cheomseongdae Observatory, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gyeongju Hyanggyo Confucian School.

Haedong Yonggung Temple and Yeongdo Lighthouse are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get outdoors at Haeundae Beach and Oedo Botania. The adventure continues: enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach, hunt for treasures at Jagalchi Market, take in the spiritual surroundings of Beomeosa Temple, and indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas.

You can drive from Gyeongju to Busan in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or take a train. While traveling from Gyeongju, expect somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Busan, ranging from highs of 28°C to lows of 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
