Step off the beaten path and head to Borgund Stave Church and Stegastein Lookout. Visiting Naeroyfjord and Brekkefossen will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Flam side-trips: Hallingskarvet National Park (in Geilo), Espelandsfossen (in Granvin) and Stalheimskleiva (in Stalheim). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Vindhellavegen, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Osa Mountain, experience rural life at Syse Gard, and examine the collection at Flaamsbana Museet.
