The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Step off the beaten path and head to Parliament House and Star Village. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at RFDS Darwin Tourist Facility and Darwin Aviation Museum. Step out of Darwin to go to Humpty Doo and see Didgeridoo Hut & Art Gallery, which is approximately 34 minutes away.
