Nestled on the banks of the Hooghly River, Kolkata is a booming metropolis, India's second largest city, and the country's cultural hub, known for being the birthplace of major artistic and literary movements.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Park Street and Dakshineswar Kali Temple. Victoria Memorial Hall and CIMA Gallery are good opportunities to explore the local culture. When in Kolkata (Calcutta), make a side trip to see Avani Riverside Mall in Howrah, approximately 34 minutes away.
