Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.Bring the kids along to Lisbon Oceanarium and Pavilhao do Conhecimento. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lisbon: Sintra (Quinta da Regaleira & Park and National Palace of Pena). There's lots more to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Belém Tower, pause for some photo ops at Padrao dos Descobrimentos, make a trip to Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco), and wander the streets of Alfama.
