As the political and cultural capital of China, Beijing stands at the heart of Chinese history, buzzing with the energy of its high population density and centuries of importance.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Mutianyu Great Wall and The Palace Museum. Visit Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) and Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling) for their historical value. Kick off your visit on the 20th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan), then get to know the fascinating history of The Bund (Wai Tan), then admire the natural beauty at Yu Garden (Yuyuan), and finally admire the striking features of Oriental Pearl Tower (Dongfang Mingzhu).
