Cultural capital of South America, Buenos Aires remains one of the largest cities on the continent, serving as a point of departure for exploring the rest of the country.
Let the collections at Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires and Museo de los Ninos capture your imagination. Get some cultural insight at Puerto Madero and Parque 3 de Febrero. Get out of town with these interesting Buenos Aires side-trips: Reserva Natural del Pilar (in Pilar), Museo Gauchesco y Parque Criollo Ricardo Guiraldes (in San Antonio de Areco) and Tigre (Delta Terra Natural Reserve & Museo de arte Tigre). There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, take a stroll through Palermo, contemplate the long history of Recoleta, and make a trip to Cemiterio de Recoleta.
