The Città del Vasto or Vasto is a town and comune on the Adriatic coast of the Province of Chieti in southern Abruzzo, Italy. Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo and Chiesa di Santa Maria Stella Maris will appeal to history buffs. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Cattedrale San Giuseppe and Teatro Tempio Sannita. Venture out of the city with trips to Basilica di San Tommaso Apostolo (in Ortona), La Basilica Cattedrale della Madonna del Ponte (in Lanciano) and Castello Ducale di Crecchio (in Crecchio).
